We believe that every pet should have the protection of pet insurance cover, which is why we offer a range of plans to suit most dogs and cats, as well as your pocket.

With City Farmers Petplan, you can budget for the unexpected. You simply choose the level of cover that suits your needs and pay a set, affordable monthly premium. And if you're a dog owner, our plans will also cover your legal liability should your dog cause damage or injury, and you are held legally responsible.

When it comes to pet insurance, it’s important to know that you’re getting the right plan to suit your needs. With three levels of cover to choose from, it’s easy to pick the one that’s right for you and your budget.

We also recognise that the relationship you have with your pet is for life, and our insurance policies reflect this. Our Covered for Life+ plans offer genuine ‘lifetime’ cover for reoccurring or chronic conditions.

As long as you continue to renew your Covered for Life+ policy with us every year without a gap in cover we will continue to  pay claims for Veterinary treatment for chronic, reoccurring or lifelong illnesses. This includes ailments like arthritis, epilepsy, diabetes or eczema that can require regular treatment over a long period of time.

*Cover for accidents commences from the time cover is active, (providing the accident did not occur prior to cover), illness cover commences after the 21 day waiting period.

 This policy is great if you want the reassurance of help with vet bills in case of illness or injury, including hospitalisation and complementary medicines, and $1m Third Party Liability for Dogs.

  • Dog Vet Fees Cover up to $10,000 per year
  • Cat Vet Fees Cover up to $9,000 per year
Standard Dog Plan
&
Standard Cat Plan 		For a higher level of vet fees cover plus additional benefits to cover the death of your pet from injury and loss by theft or straying, plus $3m Third party Liability for Dogs, this is the policy for you. 

  • Dog Vet Fees Cover up to $15,000 per year
  • Cat Vet Fees Cover up to $10,000 per year
Supreme Dog Plan
&
Supreme Cat Plan 		This is a comprehensive policy for the dog or cat owner who wants total assurance and peace of mind. The highest level of vet fees cover each year plus cover for death from illness or injury, and a comprehensive range of additional benefits including; loss by theft or straying, advertising and reward for your lost pet, boarding kennel fees if you are hospitalised, and holiday cancellation if your pet goes missing or has to have urgent surgery. This plan includes $5m Third Party Liability for Dogs.

  • Dog Vet Fees Cover up to $20,000 per year
  • Cat Vet Fees Cover up to $15,000 per year
Pet%Share Plan Our low cost option where you share the cost of the bills. You select one of our three plans and you pay the fixed excess, plus 25% of the cost of the treatment.
