At City Farmers, we're quite partial to a good old sausage sizzle and a jumble sale. And our favourite place to get our fix is at the Dogs' Refuge Home Open Day!
On this Sunday November 3 from 10.30am, you'll find a huge fete of Saint Bernard proportions! There'll be stalls with books, CDs, DVDs, clothes and household items… We know you've heard it before, but we'll say it again – another person's trash is always someone else's treasure! So set aside an hour or two on Sunday and get digging.
If you've got a green thumb or two, you'll love having a browse through the plants for sale. And because we all like a spot of tea or coffee with some cake, get your sugar fix after hitting the BBQ with the assortment of homemade cupcakes, slices and biscuits for purchase. Yum!
If you've got a couple of ankle-biters on your hands this weekend, bring them along too for the face painting, balloons and glitter tattoos.
Oh, and there'll be dogs! How could we forget? Come along and meet the handsome hounds in the Home's care – you might even meet your new best friend!
Already have a four-legged friend of your own? Bring them along too! You can even spoil them with a pampering session with our very own City Farmers Dogwash team who'll be on hand to dish out some TLC.
Entry is simply a gold coin donation and all proceeds from sales on they day go towards supporting the re-homing of more than 1000 lost and abandoned dogs every year.« Go Back
